Delicious and easy.
4 cups blackberries
4 cups sugar
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
Combine all ingredients in a large pot. Once the berries soften, crush them with a potato masher (or whatever works for you).
Bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer.
While simmering continuously stir for 10 minutes.
Test the set by dipping a metal spoon in the jam. Set the spoon in the freezer for 5 minutes. If you are happy with the consistency, ladle into sterilized jars. Water bath for 10 minutes.
Looks delicious! I love blackberries! Found you on the Clever Chicks Blog Hop.

This jam is delicious and it was super easy. Let me know if you try it. 🙂
I just made my first batch of blackberry jam from our home grown berries. I love how simple this recipe is.

Looks so easy and good! How many 4oz jars does this recipe make?
I made your jam this weekend but I am unsure how to store it.
Help please.
They are shelf stable until opened. 🙂
Made this jam recipe. Super easy. Boiled the jars/lids for 10 minutes. Then filled to 1/4 inch from the top. Attached the lids and placed them in a water bath for 10 minutes. Licked the pan when I was all done and it tasted great! Can’t wait to use the blackberries we picked as jam over the next few months. This recipe filled five 8 oz ball jars.
This is amazingly delicious. Only question I have is how can you make it with less seeds?
